Zain Daudpoto  Journalist, and development practitioner


Zain Daudpoto  was born in village Nasarpur on 01-03-1959. He got his early education from school of nasarpur and higher education from Hyderabad. After then he got his bachelor & master degree in philosophy from university of sindh, jamshoro. During his studies he also worked in different print media groups.



Q.1 Why did you choose philosophy field?

Answer. From my early age I was interested in reading books and my favourite topic was philosophy. 

Q.2 How you joined media?

Answer. It was my desire to join media and I also got media friends because of those I joined media.

Q.3 How was your first experience when you joined media?

Answer. It was very good experience when I first came in media. I met with different journalists and anchors through their help I also became a good journalist.

Q.4 What kind of works you have done in media?

Answer. I have worked in media as a translator, sub editor, editor & writer.

Q.5 Tell us about your experience being as press club member?

Answer. It was very good and most memorable experience. I worked in press club as general sectary. We were first sindhis members who joined press club and we also involve so many sindhis in press club.

Q.6 In how many newspapers you have worked?

Answer. I have worked in differnet newspapers barsat, daily bakhtawar, kawish & some others.

Q.7 Why did you worked in any sector other than media?

Answer. It was also my desire to work as social worker because of that I worked also in NGO sector.

Q.8 How did you see NGO sector different than media?

Answer. Media is different than NGO sector. Media gives daily basis information and also other information to their viewers. And NGO works for poor and needy people through getting projects & funds from international organization from all around the world.  

Q.9 What kinds of books you like to read?

Answer. I use to read different books like historical books, poetry, sociology, philosophy & others.

Q.10 Who is your role model?

Answer. My role model is Karl Marx. He was a great philosopher I like to read his books the most. I also try to follow his footsteps.

Q.11 What is your message to new generation?

Answers. I want to give message that work hard in your life. They should read books because plays very important role in our life. And also I want say that have focus in your field in you are working because focus is main thing.
