Hyderabad Club

When I was 12 years old, I used to play cricket in Niaz stadium. As there were no other activities for youngsters to do in Hyderabad. One day when I was playing cricket, (I was fielder), Batsmen smashed the ball and ball went all the boundary for six, When I went to get ball I discovered a club which was about 2.5 acres big, I went to have a look inside but guard didn’t allow me and told me Club is only for members. They got me ball by themselves. When I get back to my home, I told my father there is new club in Hyderabad named as Hyderabad Club and asked my father to come and visit that club with me. As my father just came back from office and he was tired so he told me we will visit it tomorrow. That night, I was so excited to see that club, I couldn’t sleep in excitement. Next day, my father woke me up and asked me to get ready we are going to visit Hyderabad Club.

When we reached there the guard stopped us and asked for membership number. My father told them we are here to be member. The guard took us to administration office where we met Mr Zahid Ali Shiekh. In his office, I saw board their from which I came to know that Hyderabad Club was inaugurated in 2000 and completed its construction in 2002.  The man who we met in office told us the procedure of membership we asked him for tour around club he said okay u may go and visit the Club. When we came out of office we started with basketball court plus tennis court because it was nearest one. The court was 78 feet long in length with a net dividing both sides equally. After that went to the pool. There were 3 pools in Hyderabad Club. One for beginners, Other one was for teenagers and third one was for the intermediate swimmers. After visiting pool we went to walking track which was 400 meters big in diameter. After that we went to hall which contains 2 badminton courts and 2 table tennis tables and a way to walk to gym. We loved the club and tried to take membership as soon as possible.
13thApril was the perfect day for 10 year old Inder Vineet to go for swimming. His father had finally become a member of Hyderabad club only after inder begged hun q million times to do so. Inder wants to learn how to swim. On Wednesday inder left home at 3:45 for third swimming lesson. When he arrived at club he was told to leave, perhaps, pool was closed. But when inder was heading back, he was called back by two man, presumably lifeguards. At 4:30 that day, Mr chatandas, inder’s father received a phone call every parent dreads. He was told that his only son was foundin the swimming pool, having drowned and has been taken to Ghani hospital Hyderabad. The young boy was admitted to LUMHS hospital in Karachi where he struggled between life and death a week before he passed away. When his father asked club administration to provide him the CCTV footage of tragic incident. The footage he was shown the young boy being taken out of pool. When they asked for full footage, they were conveniently told that the footage was deleted and management didn’t kept backup
Told by officials, Every month DIG Khadim Rind come to pay visit to Hyderabad club and every year it is being repainted and repaired.
